Renan Ferreira vs. Rizvan Kuniev PFL 2 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Renan Ferreira vs. Rizvan Kuniev PFL 2 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Rizvan Kuniev is cruising on a 9-win streak, which is why it’s no surprise that oddsmakers see him as an odds-on favorite in Friday’s fight. However, Renan Ferreira is a fighter with an awesome fight portfolio, who’s already defeated a number of big faves, much bigger than Kuniev.

Renan Ferreira vs. Rizvan Kuniev Odds

Moneyline Odds
Renan Ferreira +170
Rizvan Kuniev -200

*Odds taken from BetOnline on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

When, Where, and How to Watch?

  • Place: The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Date: Friday, April 7, 2023
  • Time: ~10:00 PM ET
  • How to Watch: ESPN 2 / ESPN+

Renan Ferreira to Show the World He Deserves Respect

The 33-year-old Brazilian is a dictionary definition of a heavyweight. He’s big and strong and likes finishing his fights early. Ferreira is 9-3-2 in his professional career with only one of his fights going the distance. He’s got 7 wins by KO/TKO, which is his strongest weapon, but he’s also decent in grappling/wrestling despite having just one win by submission in his portfolio.

The win in question happened against Jared Vanderaa at LFA 74 in 2019. Sure, it happened before Vanderaa went to the UFC, but nevertheless, it’s still a huge achievement. The best thing is that Vanderaa isn’t the only UFC-affiliated fighter Ferreira’s fought.

In 2021, he fought Fabricio Werdum, the former UFC Heavyweight champ. He beat him by TKO in round 1, but it was later overturned as it became clear that Ferreira had previously tapped out.

After that fight, he went on to win three fights in the PFL. In his last two, we saw one of his fights (vs. Klidson Abreu) get declared no contest, even though he lost it by decision originally. And in his most recent fight, he suffered the third loss of his career – Ante Delija beat him by TKO in round 1. Still, losing to the winner of the 2022 PFL Heavyweight tournament isn’t something to be too embarrassed about.

Reasons Why Rizvan Kuniev Is the Betting Favorite

Born and raised in Dagestan, Rizvan Kuniev is 12-2-1 overall, with no losses inside the distance. He’s a well-rounded fighter with plenty of weapons in his arsenal. Kuniev is without a single loss since 2015, winning his last nine fights.

All this shows why bookies think of him as the favorite in the first fight of the PFL 2 main card. However, one needs to take into account that most of his recent fights were in local Russian competitions – Eagle FC, Gorilla Fighting Championship, and others.

He did, however, compete in Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, which saw him win his fight by TKO. Still, that wasn’t enough for him to land a UFC contract.

Renan Ferreira vs. Rizvan Kuniev Prediction

Renan Ferreira is the underdog against Rizvan Kuniev, but we think the Brazilian has what it takes to cause an upset. He’s a great fighter who can put Kuniev to sleep.

Pick: Renan Ferreira to win by KO/TKO

Cybercriminals Have Set Their Sights on Ontario, GeoComply Says

Cybercriminals Have Set Their Sights on Ontario, GeoComply Says

Ontario’s budding iGaming market continues to be targeted by international scammers, a recent GeoComply report highlighted. This news comes a year after online gambling was launched in the Canadian province.

The launch of iGaming and online sports betting in Ontario has proven a success. However, this success has also attracted a lot of fraudsters, the report shows. While GeoComply emphasized that customers are most protected when playing with licensed operators, it also added that a lot of people have been trying to cheat the system.

Ontario Attracted a Lot of Attention

Starting with the good news, GeoComply said that the number of total player accounts in the province is set to exceed a million. Revenue, meanwhile, is on track to smash half-a-billion Canadian dollars.

GeoComply added that the launch of iGaming in Ontario attracted a lot of attention from players all over the world. Since the regulated market was launched in April last year, over 744,000 international users have attempted to log in 19.9 million times to Ontario operators.

The geolocation specialist added that 54,000 users from the United States have attempted 305,000 logins. It concluded that a total of 3.3 million location spoofing attempts have been made.

Many Fraudsters Were Drawn to the Market

While the Ontario market attracted the attention of players all over the world, it, unfortunately, attracted the attention of many fraudsters as well. According to GeoComply, the first year of iGaming in the province saw over 219,000 devices blocked from gambling for fraud reasons. GeoComply noted that it has detected a whopping 1,045 fraud rings affecting multiple operators.

GeoComply’s services, in particular, prevented 127,000 devices known to be associated with fraud from accessing the market. In addition, 56,000 devices with multiple users (a usual sign of bonus abuse) were barred from playing.

GeoComply also banned 34,000 that used illicit software that hid the players’ actual location. Lastly, the geolocation specialist was able to identify and block 1,500 jailbroken devices.

DiRienzo Noted that Cybercrime Rates Are Rising

The matter was addressed by Danny DiRienzo, GeoComply’s director of risk services. He said that online fraud is a serious problem that continues to get worse. He noted that the recorded fraud attempts mostly included identity theft, bonus abuse and some instances of account takeovers and credit card chargebacks.

Ontario is such a large market and the opening of any market results in bonus offerings attracting fraudsters. This, coupled with the traditional gray market operations in Canada, resulted in experienced fraudsters hunting bonuses from day one, as anyone with a set of stolen identities could collect bonuses from several operators.

Danny DiRienzo

DiRienzo concluded that GeoComply will continue to vigilantly protect the Ontarian iGaming market from fraud.

Martin Zamani Wins U.S. Poker Open Finale for $666K, Named Overall Champ

The PokerGO Tour (PGT) U.S. Poker Open has a new champion after wrapping up on April 4 with Event #10: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em, the biggest buy-in of the series that drew 37 runners for a prize pool of $1.9 million. Martin Zamani came out on top after defeating Nick Petrangelo in heads-up play to take home $666,000 and the golden eagle trophy.

The final table of the marquee finale event included Jeremy Ausmus (3rd – $296,000), who earlier finished second in Event #5: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $149,600 and was also looking for the overall title, all-time money leader Justin Bonomo (4th – $203,500) and Event #9: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em champion Dan Smith (5th – $148,000).

Zamani has had recent success on the high-roller circuit after making headlines last year for accusing then-all-time money leader Bryn Kenney of running a cult-like cheating stable, including a third-place finish in the earlier Event #3: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $130,200. The Floridian had an interesting answer when asked by a sideline reporter about how his approach differs from his elite high-stakes opponents: “I’m high.”

Zamani needed the victory to win the overall U.S. Poker Open title and he was able to get it to end the series with 570 points to deny Ren Lin (465 points) and finish ahead of Sam Soverel (457 points) and Dan Smith (442 points).

In addition to earning the $50,000 championship bonus, Zamani joined Sean Winter, David Peters and Stephen Chidwick on the prestigious list of U.S. Poker Open champions.

The ten-event U.S. Poker Open festival saw victories from some of poker’s biggest names, including Phil Hellmuth, who won Event #5: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $211,200 and his first U.S. Poker Open title.

Later in the series, rising star Isaac Kempton won Event #6: $15,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for $279,000 and his first victory in the PokerGO Studio after several second, third and fourth-place finishes in the past year. Meanwhile, four-time World Poker Tour (WPT) champion Darren Elias added picked up PGT title by winning Event #7: $15,000 No-Limit Hold’em for $313,200.

In Event #8: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em, Joey Weissman was after his second series title after winning the opening $10,000 event for $231,000 but fell to Isaac Haxton, who took home $423,000 and his fourth high-roller victory of the year. Not only did Haxton win the $50,000 PokerGO Cup finale in January for $598,000, he took down two PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) High Rollers for respective scores of $1.1 million and $1.6 million.

Haxton has had several other high rollers scores this year and, as PokerGO pointed out, his victory made him the first player to reach $5 million in earnings in 2023.

The high-stakes veteran has been criticized by some for wearing an N95 mask in his recent winner’s photos and took to Twitter to send a message to the haters.

Hellmuth was also after a second title but fell in fifth for $108,000, while others who made deep runs included Alex Foxen (6th – $81,000), Bill Klein (4th – $135,000) and Dan Smith (3rd – $189,000).

Liverpool vs. Arsenal Premier League Odds, Time, and Prediction

Liverpool vs Chelsea Premier League Odds, Time, and Prediction

Liverpool is without a win since March 5, when they demolished Manchester United 7-0. It was the last time the Reds played at Anfield. They’re back home this Sunday, but oddsmakers don’t think they’re going to do anything like that this time. Why? Because their opponent is the Premier League table leader, Arsenal.

Liverpool vs. Arsenal Premier League Odds

Moneyline Odds
Liverpool +175
Draw +260
Arsenal +145
Goals Total Odds
Over 3.5 +175
Under 3.5 -227

*Odds taken from bet365 on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

When, Where, and How to Watch?

  • Place: Anfield in Liverpool, England
  • Date: Sunday, April 9, 2023
  • Time: 11:30 AM ET
  • How to Watch: Peacock

The Reds Coming Home After Over a Month

It’s been more than a month since the Reds played at Anfield. It happened on May 5, 2023, when they defeated the Red Devils 7-0. Since then, they played four games on the road, losing three of those and drawing one.

Two of those losses happened in the Premier League (to Bournemouth and Man City), and one in the Champions League (to Real Madrid). In their most recent game, they drew 0-0 with Chelsea in the EPL.

They didn’t score against Chelsea, but the Reds offense sure does look dangerous. It’s because pretty much all of their forwards are fit, which hasn’t been the case in a while. Unfortunately, they still do have some problems with injuries in other departments. For instance, they’re going to be without three midfielders on Sunday – Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, and Stefan Bajcetic.

The Gunners Going All-In on the Prem

They’re out of the Europa League, as well as the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. What this means is that the only competition they can win is the Premier League. And they’re serious about doing it!

The Gunners are sitting in the No. 1 position in the EPL standings with six points more than the second-placed Man City, who do have one game in hand.

With nine more rounds in the 2022-23 Premier League, the race for the title is far from being over. The good news for the Gunners’ fans is that their boys have been terrific in the English top flight. They’re rising on a 6-win streak in the Prem, scoring four goals in four of those games.

They might not necessarily score as many goals on Sunday, but we can definitely see them break Liverpool’s defense. Whether that’s going to be enough for another three points, we can’t say for certain.

Liverpool vs. Arsenal Prediction

This game screams “draw.” The two teams are very similar in terms of player quality, not to mention that both are very motivated. The Reds wanna do great in front of their fans at Anfield, while the Gunners are in need of points to continue their title challenge.

Pick: Liverpool and Arsenal to draw; over 3.5 goals

Can Mariano’s Queens Hold Up in This Massive Hustler Casino Live Pot?

Can Mariano's Queens Hold Up in This Massive Hustler Casino Live Pot?

Mariano has been making a name for himself in the poker vlogging streets over the past couple of years. This hand is one of the biggest pots he has ever played!

The hand took place on the Hustler Casino Live stream where they were playing an usual $5/$5/$100 BB Ante game. A huge hand took place as two players, Mike X and Francisco, had ace-king and Mariano was sitting in the middle with pocket queens!

Francisco gave off a huge live tell in this hand as he decided to pick up his cards and show his opponent after sighing when Mariano called Mike X’s all-in!

The hand kicked off with Mike X raising to $800 with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Mariano three-betting to $2,400.

I like Mike X’s big raise here given that the massive ante is in play. Over to Mariano, I think this is an easy three-bet and he can get it in if Mike X comes over the top.

Francisco then cold-called on the button with ace-king and he was in a dicey situation. If he four-bets and Mariano shoves all-in, ace-king is actually not in that great of shape against most players’ five-bet shoving ranges. But calling is not a great option either because Mike X could go all in and Marino could call. I think it could go either way, but I probably would have four-bet the ace-king.

Mike X then four-bet jammed for $13,880 and Mariano was left with another decision with Francisco behind him with a stack of $43,990. Francisco gave off a tell by showing his hand to the player next to him, something he probably wouldn’t do with aces or kings.

Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little reviews a hand played by Mariano on HCL

If he can remove these hands from Francisco’s range, Mariano can just call to keep in Francisco’s worse hands. Mariano will want to call with his best hands like aces, kings and queens and may want to make an exploitative shove with hands like jacks or nines to get better hands to fold.

What would you do in Mariano’s situation?

Mariano took some time to call and Francisco then quickly moved all in for $43,990. If Francisco is confident Mariano doesn’t have aces or kings, I think shoving is the right play. If he can ever get Mariano to fold, that is excellent. That said, I don’t think Francisco should have snap-raised all in since he probably wouldn’t do that with aces.

Mariano called just as quickly, which I don’t fault him for given the way this hand went down. After some discussion, the three players agreed to run it once and Mariano had to hope his queens would hold up.

The flop of {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} kept Mariano ahead but gave Francisco a chance to scoop with a backdoor flush draw. The {8-Hearts} increased his odds before the {7-Hearts} peeled off on the river to win him the massive pot.

The best hand doesn’t always hold up and Francisco scooped a big pot while delivering a tough beat to Mariano.

GGPoker’s Progressive Knockout Tournament Will Be Another High-Paying Spectacle

GGPoker’s Progressive Knockout Tournament Will Be Another High-Paying Spectacle

Rapidly growing online poker platform GGPoker announced its newest high-octane poker tournament, featuring many exciting events focusing on eliminating opposing players. Participants will receive bounties for each defeated opponent, guaranteeing fast-paced games full of memorable moments. The 2022 Bounty Hunter Series continues the GGPoker’s tradition of hosting eye-catching events to aid its global expansion ambitions.

Random Bounties Mean Even Losers Can Win Big

GGPoker’s growing popularity has much to do with its substantial prize pools, which stand among the biggest in the industry. The company’s upcoming Bounty Hunter Series is no exception, promising at least $50 million in prizes across six headline events and various side games. Even players who don’t make it to the final table can win big by collecting bounties on their opponents.

The Bounty Hunter Series continues the tradition of progressive knockout tournaments where players compete for the tournament prize pool and can earn a bonus for every opponent they eliminate. This year’s iteration features randomized bounties at the later stages of the events, meaning that even a losing player can score big with a bit of luck.

The more knockouts under your belt, the more bounty prizes you’ll claim; everyone joins the table with a target on their back, which makes play more breakneck than ever!

Paul Burke, GGPoker head of PR

The Mystery Bounty Main Event’s buy-in stages will run from 16 April to 1 May, featuring a top bounty prize of $500k. This unique format makes for exciting and dynamic gameplay, as players are encouraged to play aggressively and go for the win. Top-scoring participants can go home with a life-changing amount of money, but the tournament’s popularity means that competition will be fierce.

The Company Is Well on Its Way to Becoming a Global Poker Leader

The event is the latest milestone in GGPoker’s efforts to establish itself as the leading online poker brand. The platform recently updated its Super Million$ leaderboard, making it easier for top players to track their performance and incentivizing members to compete at the highest level. Top players will also get Super Platinum Level, receiving 100% cashback in future events.

GGPoker realizes that eye-catching tournaments and large prize pools alone do not guarantee success if players cannot access them. To that end, the company has pursued aggressive worldwide expansion. The start of 2023 marked GGPoker’s first foray into Vietnam thanks to a deal with Triton Poker, closely followed by a new Czech Republic license, allowing fans in the country to access its global database.

Expanding into such thriving online gaming markets helps GGPoker maintain its significant momentum, extending its reach and allowing even more impressive tournaments. The recent string of successes demonstrates the company’s commitment to offering the grandest and most exciting online poker experiences to players of all levels to players worldwide.

Joey Hurtado, managing director at Wizard Games

Joey Hurtado, Wizard Games’ managing director, explained that the new game delivers highly popular features and mechanics. He added that online players enjoy such mechanics and pointed out that The Funky Boombox offers a variety of chances for wins. Finally, Hurtado said: “With colorful, engaging visuals, a nostalgic ‘80s soundtrack and plenty of chances for players to land bonuses and wins with Collect Pots and the Free Spins bonus, we can’t wait to see the reception to this release.”

Boombox Multipliers, Funky Wheel and Pick and Match Mechanic

The base game of the 5×3 slot enables players to grow progressive Collect Pots. This, according to Wizard Games is boosted when five or more Funky Boombox symbols land on the reels, regardless of where. The more Boombox symbols the players secure, the higher the multiplier.

Additionally, the game offers a Funky Wheel spin. To activate this functionality, the players need to land three Funky Wheel symbols on the first, third and fifth reels. This takes them to a special Funky Wheel Bonus round that gives players a chance “to collect credits and multipliers or a progressive Collect Pot prize.”

Last but not least, online players can also benefit from the Free Spins feature that activates a Pick and Match mechanic. To activate this, players need to land three Free Spins symbols on the reels. Then they will have the option to choose three matching tiles that can reveal up to 20 free games.
