Congratulations to Erica and Kimberly Porter on the adoption of Joy. We are so pleased for all of you and send you our continued support and best wishes.

Many of you may remember Joy. Pictured below is Joy when she arrived at E.P.O.N.A. after spending a few weeks at Rochester Equine Clinic on IV fluids. Joy was a seizure by the State Veterinarians Office with the assistance of New Hampshire Equine Humane. Joy was so weak from malnutrition that she collapsed. She was sent to Rochester Equine Clinic and from there she was entrusted to E.P.O.N.A. for rehabilitation.  The drawing was done by Natasha Bourdon, who is a young girl who came to visit Joy. Natasha's drawing is a very good depiction of Joy's condition and hope that we all had for her.

Joy has recovered very well and is now available for adoption. Below are recent photos of Joy. Joy is an eleven year old Thoroughbred mare. She is a very elegant mover. She is good with the vet and farrier. She is a very sweet mare. She is yet to be evaluated under saddle as she is still weak in her back and neck. We are now strengthening those areas with stretching exercises.
