Post Entry one time charge of $5.00 plus $8.00 per class

All entry fees must be paid before entering the show ring. Please pay for all entries the day of the show.    

  SHOW RULES -- READ CAREFULLY!!

"THIS SHOW USES NH 4-H HORSE SHOW RULES"

  1. Minimum age for show riders is 8 years old and over.  No one under the age of 8 will be allowed to compete at this show.

  2. Boots are required in all riding classes.

  3. All riders, when mounted or in a vehicle being pulled by one or more equines are required to wear a properly fitted ASTM approved helmet with secured chin strap at all times.  This applies to all ages, all seats.

  4. Walk-Trot is for children 8 years or older who have not mastered the canter.  Anyone seen cantering on their own accord will not be allowed in Walk-Trot. Older youth may ride in the Adult Walk Trot division with permission of the show manager (please call).

  5. Trail classes will be over obstacles.  It will be held after fitting and showmanship.

  6. NO alcoholic beverages or controlled substances allowed on the show grounds.

  7. Mistreatment of any animal will result in immediate dismissal from the grounds with no refunds.  If using a riding crop, a horse may only be hit behind the girth.  Anyone hitting a horse on the shoulder or head will be dismissed from the class.

  8. No one may approach the judge without permission from the show manager.  Anyone doing so will be excused from riding and will forfeit all points and entry fees.

  9. The Show Committee reserves the right to combine or cancel any classes.

  10. No stallions may be shown except in the year they were born

  11. Any horse that is prone to kick must wear a red ribbon in it's tail. This horse is the rider's responsibility and the Salem Silver Spurs will not be liable for injury which results therefrom.

  12. Any horse that the show committee feels is unruly and/or the rider is overmounted will be excused for the day with no refunds.

  13. All small children must be supervised at all times. All dogs must be kept on a leash.

  14. If any divisions need to be split, numbers will be picked by the show committee.

  15. Entry fees will not be refunded unless horse and/or rider are injured.

  16. The Salem Silver Spurs, Shannon Trails, or the Town of Salem NH will not be responsible for any accident to any individual, animal, and/or personal property at the show.

  17. Shannon trails requires a current negative coggins on all horses competing at the show.

  18. If a tie exists for End of Day, Fitting and Showmanship scores will be used to break the tie.

  19. Rider may enter only one age division (no exceptions).
