Tilly
is a lovely bay Thoroughbred mare. Tilly is five
years old and was a rescue from Suffolks Downs in
Revere, MA. Tilly suffers from a shoulder
injury related to an accident on the track where she
ran into the guardrail. The injury was not
tended to, therefore leaving her crippled for life.
Tilly maintains a very good quality of life as a
pasture pal. She is not experiencing any pain,
nor is she on any medications other than joint
supplements. She is able to walk, trot, and
yes, even gallop with her paddock mates. She
does have the typical race track habit of wind
sucking, however this is restricted in the paddock by
electric wire over the rail fence, and she does wear
a collar in the evenings when she is in the barn.
She is a sweet mare and is deserving of a loving home
where she can receive a lot of one-on-one.
Congratulations
to both Tilly and High Road Farm of OakPark, Virginia
on the adoption of Tilly
