NEW RESCUES

      Welcome to E.P.O.N.A. Faith

Faith is a seven year old Premarin Paint mare. Faith is in foal and we are not sure when she is due. She has not been handled much, she does lead but she is not very trusting of people. We do not know who Faith was bred to or when she is due to foal. She currently is showing no signs of foaling anytime soon.

Welcome Eustace to E.P.O.N.A.

Eustace (the blonde) and his new buddy Calypso enjoy afternoon naps in the warm spring sun. Eustace is a registered two year old Premarin Palomino colt. He is very sweet. Eustace is not very large, he does lead and he is now just beginning to be handled more. He is good with other horses and although he may be small he does establish his position with other horses.

E.P.O.N.A. would like to welcome Liberty

Liberty is a three year old Premarin Belgian mare saved from the Premarin slaughter auctions of Canada. She has not been worked with very much. She does walk and trot on the lead and will stand to be groomed. She is pretty good at picking up her front feet and is learning to pick up her hind feet. As you can see from the photo with Julie Liberty is very sweet and wants to trust and be loved. She is not a large Belgian approximately 15.3 hands. She is still underweight but she is gaining !! Liberty is not in foal. Thanks to Stephanie Dunn for sponsoring Liberty.

Welcome to E.P.O.N.A. Divinity

Divinity is a seven year old Egyptian Arabian mare. She is a victim of neglect. Her feet have not been trimmed in over five years that we are aware of. Divinity is truly a story of Divine intervention. She has been named E.P.O.N.A.'s Divine Intervention by the police officer who was responsible for discovering and rescuing her. The police officer was responding to a person in distress and was sent to the wrong address. When no one was found in the home the police officer went to the barn in search of the person needing help. The officer found Divinity in the barn. Divinity is very sweet, she loves people, she loves being groomed, she loves any kind of attention that she can get. Below Divinity prepares for a kiss from E.P.O.N.A.volunteer Lori.

Divinity is now under the loving care of E.P.O.N.A. for more photos and detailed medical history please check out our medical update page.
