IGT Revenue up 8% In Q3 Boosted by Growth in Global Gaming

International Game Technology (IGT), the leading gaming technology and software solutions provider, released its third quarter 2022 results.

IGT’s Total Revenue in Q3 Hits $1.06 Billion

In Q3, 2022, the company enjoyed strong growth with revenue hitting $1.06 billion, marking an increase of 8% when compared to the same period last year. Constant currency change considering the $1.06 billion result represents an increase of 14% in total revenue.

The company unveiled a breakdown of its different operating segments, showing an increase in two out of three of its business operations. The biggest increase was observed in global gaming revenue which hit $379 million in Q3, up 31% when compared to the $289 million reported from global gaming for Q3, 2021.

Another strong growth was observed in IGT’s digital and betting operations for the third quarter. Last year in Q3, the digital and betting total revenue halted at $43 million, while this year it increased by 27% hitting $54 million.

Although it did not record an increase, the lion’s share of IGT’s revenue in Q3 came from global lottery operations. In total, the revenue for this segment hit $626 million, marking a slight 4% dip when compared to the $652 million result from the corresponding period last year.

Multiple Achievements Completed during the Quarter

IGT completed multiple strategic objectives during the third quarter. In September, the company sold its Italian proximity payments operations for a whopping €700 million ($704 million). Additionally, the company inked a 10-year partnership extension in Texas.

On a global scale, IGT expanded its reach in Portugal via a new deal with Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Lisboa. The terms of the collaboration saw the company deliver up to 7,200 Retailer Vue lottery terminals to the operator in the country.

Additional highlights include IGT’s four-year lottery contract extension in New York, while in Georgia, IGT was selected as the main technology supplier under a seven-year extension. Back in July, IGT completed the takeover of the third-party aggregator and iGaming content provider, iSoftBet, in a deal for some €160 million ($161 million).

The Company Remains Committed to Offering Leading Products and Services

Max Chiara, IGT’s CFO, revealed that the company remains committed to implementing innovations and optimizations that help its portfolio grow further. He pointed out: “Robust year-to-date cash flows and proceeds from the sale of the Italy proximity payments/commercial services business, in addition to proactive liability management, enabled us to reduce debt to the lowest level ever.”

IGT’s organization along three business segments enables our teams to be focused on developing and delivering best-in-class products and services.

Vince Sadusky, CEO of IGT

Vince Sadusky, IGT’s CEO, added that the company is focused on delivering leading products and services via its three main business segments. He acknowledged that the IGT continues to see strong demand for its best-in-class services and products from players and operators. Last but not least, Sadusky said: “we reached the lowest debt leverage in the Company’s history, while returning a record $224 million in capital to shareholders so far this year.”

Playtika Holdings Reports Stable Revenue and a Drop in Net Income for Q3

At the beginning of August, NASDAQ-listed mobile gaming entertainment and technology company Playtika Holdings reported a stable revenue for Q2 2022 along with a net income drop of around 60%. Now, the company has published its third-quarter results for the period ending September 30. Among the most important markers highlighted by the report, we can mention a 14% growth in revenue, which accounted for 55% of the overall revenue for the entire quarter. Playtika also reported Q3 revenue of $647.8 million, up 1.9% from last year’s Q3 recorded revenue of $635.9 million.

15% Net Income Decrease in Q3 2022

The company that invested $600 million in shares valued at $11.58 per share via Tender Offer in October reported a 15% drop in net income, from $80.5 million at the end of last year’s third quarter to $68.2 million at the end of Q3 2022.

The company also reported a credit-adjusted EBITDA of $203.5 million for the previously ended quarter, signaling a 6% drop from $217 million in Q3 2021. As for the adjusted EBITDA, the 2010-founded company with headquarters in Herzliya, Israel, announced $230.7 million for the third quarter of 2022, down 7% from last year’s $247.8 million.

Top Performance Recorded by the Casual Games Segment

The company with cash and cash equivalents that reached $1,255.4 million at the end of September concluded the performance of its casual games segment was an exceptional one. Games like Solitaire Grand Harvest, June’s Journey, and Bingo Blitz recorded double-digit growth on a year-over-year basis. Bingo Blitz recorded a 14.7% YoY growth for Q3. Junes Journey went up 32.5% in Q3 2022 compared to the same period last year, while Solitaire Grand Harvest reported a 14.3% increase.

Playtika’s chief executive officer Robert Antokol expressed the company’s excitement regarding the “continued success” of the respective games. Antokol added that the company considers it is “well positioned for the future” while building “exciting, new features” for its games and driving strategic initiatives based on “technology and digitization.”

The company’s chief financial officer and president Craig Abrahams said the company was “encouraged” by the growth of its casual portfolio to keep investing in a responsible manner in their most powerful franchises. At the end of March, the company purchased JustPlay.LoL and acquired its flagship battle royale game to enter new verticals. For the full year, Playtika has projected an expected revenue in the $2.60-$2.66 billion range, with an adjusted EBITDA in the $900-$940 million range.

Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers Week 10 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers Week 10 Odds, Time, and Prediction

If someone told you before the start of the 2022 NFL season that the Dallas Cowboys would be 4.5-point favorites against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau, you probably wouldn’t believe them. But that is the case ahead of Week 10.

The main reason behind this is that the Packers are playing horrible football lately. They’re 0-5 in the previous five games. The worst thing is that in four of those, they were odds-on favorites.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, are fantastic in 2022. With a 6-2 record, they’re second in the NFC East, but they also sit in a playoff spot when conference standings are concerned.

Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers Week 10 Odds

Dallas Cowboys -4.5 -111
Green Bay Packers +4.5 -111

Dallas Cowboys -227
Green Bay Packers +185

*Odds taken from bet365 on Tuesday, November 8.

When, Where, and How to Watch?

  • Place: Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Date: Sunday, November 13, 2022
  • Time: 4:25 PM ET

Dallas Cowboys’ First Game in November

The rest is over for the Cowboys who had a bye in Week 9. What this means is that they’ve had plenty of time to prepare for the game with the Packers in Week 10. Winning this game is important for many reasons for the Dallas team.

First of all, this is one of the toughest games they got to play in the remainder of the regular season. Secondly, the Packers are one of their biggest rivals and the only NFC that has a positive record against the Cowboys. The Packers lead the all-time series 20-17, with a couple of playoff wins that still hurt the Cowboys fans.

Green Bay Packers Have a 16% Chance to Make the Playoffs

According to the New York Times, the chance that the Green Bay Packers will advance to the 2022 NFL Playoffs has dropped from 27% to 16%. This happened after their shocking loss to the Detroit Lions last weekend.

At the moment of writing, most online sportsbooks are giving +550 on the Packers making the Playoffs. This, however, doesn’t necessarily mean the bookies are right. This team still has plenty of talent on the roster, meaning that we probably haven’t seen the best of them.

Aaron Rodgers remains one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, despite his poor stats in 2022. The Packers also have a great defense, which needs to do even better in the next few weeks. We’re sure Green Bay players will improve their game in near future, but that might not happen in Week 10. It’s just that Dallas looks too strong for them at the moment.

Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers Predictions

The Packers are terrible, but they need to up their game ASAP. Unfortunately, they’re taking on in-form Cowboys on Sunday, which is the team that had a bye in the previous game week. All considered the Cowboys look capable of ripping the Packers apart in Week 10.

Picks: Dallas Cowboys to win but not cover the spread; under to hit

Total Casino Revenue in Ohio Hits $83.1M in October

Total Casino Revenue in Ohio Hits $83.1M in October

Regulated gambling operators in Ohio had a strong month, judging by details released by the gambling regulator in the state.

Ohio Casino Control Commission Releases Gambling Revenue Data

The Ohio Casino Control Commission, the gambling watchdog in the state, released data outlining the performance of the four casinos in the state. Overall, the total revenue reported by the operators hit $83.1 million, marking a slight increase when compared to the $81.4 million reported a month earlier, in September. However, a year-over-year comparison for October shows that revenue increased by nearly 3% considering that last year it halted at $80.9 million.

A breakdown provided by the gambling regulator reveals that the total table revenue reported by the casinos in Ohio increased as well. In September, the table revenue halted at $23.4 million, while in October, it hit $25.1 million. What’s more, the result from last month surpassed the $24.4 million reported in table games revenue from October last year.

On the other hand, slot revenue reported by the casinos in Ohio last month hit $57.9 million. This result didn’t surpass the $58.1 million in slot revenue reported a month earlier, in September. However, when compared to October 2021, a slight increase was observed considering that back then, the slot revenue halted at $56.5 million.

So far, the total revenue reported by the casinos in Ohio hit $842.7 million since the start of the year. Last year, including November and December, the total revenue hit $983.7 million. This said, in theory, if the casinos keep their performance above $80 million in revenue for November and December, they may surpass the total revenue reported last year.

Hollywood Columbus and Jack Cleveland Report Highest Revenue

The venue with the highest revenue last month was Hollywood Columbus Casino, judging by a breakdown provided by Ohio Casino Control Commission. Overall, the property’s total revenue in October hit $23.7 million, marking a slight increase when compared to the $22.3 million reported in September. The $23.7 million in total revenue breaks down to $6.3 million in table games revenue and $17.4 million in slot revenue.

The second-highest casino revenue last month was reported by Jack Cleveland Casino. In total, the venue’s revenue last month hit $21.2 million. This result did not surpass the $21.9 million in total revenue reported by the property in September. A breakdown of the total revenue shows that slots revenue took the lion’s share with $12.5 million in revenue, while table games revenue hit $8.7 million.

Hard Rock Cincinnati Casino’s total revenue last month hit $20 million, reveals the latest report from the gambling regulator. The total revenue breaks down to $7.2 million in table games revenue and $12.8 million in slot revenue. Last but not least, Hollywood Toledo Casino’s revenue last month hit $18.1 million. The casino’s total revenue increased slightly when compared to the $17.1 million reported a month earlier, in September, but remained behind the $19.1 million reported in August this year.

Magic Diamond Casino Robbery Gun Supplier Pleaded Guilty

Magic Diamond Casino Robbery Gun Supplier Pleaded Guilty

The armed robbery at Magic Diamond Casino in Billings Heights, Montana, brought investigators to a third suspect after the two perpetrators revealed to the police who they had obtained the guns from.

Third Person Facing Sentence

Darwin Dalton Sutherland admitted in federal court that he had supplied Taliah Jeneane Ramirez, 22, of Billings and Makyla Shayd Fetter, 28, of Harlem with the guns they had used in the armed robbery at Magic Diamond Casino earlier in the year.

Sutherland pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and is facing up to 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and 3 years of supervised release for his role in the case, according to the prosecution.

Both Ramirez and Fetter pleaded guilty to charges of robbery affecting commerce, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime violence and possession of a firearm in a school zone in August: their sentences could be up to 20 years in jail, a $250,000 fine and 3 years of supervised release on the robbery charge.

On the charge of possessing a firearm in a crime of violence, the due could face a mandatory minimum of 7 to life in prison, consecutive to any other sentence, a $250,000 fine and 5 years of supervised release.

Both defendants also face a maximum of 5 years in prison, not to be run concurrent to any other sentence, a $250,000 fine and 3 years of supervised release on the charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone. Their sentencing date will be set before US District Judge Susan P. Watters

The Armed Robbery

According to the court documents, on March 20 the defendants entered Magic Diamond Casino and Fetter took five bottles of liquor from a shelf but when asked to show her ID, she pulled a gun and pointed it at the clerk instead of identifying herself.

Then she pointed the pistol at the other clerk who in the meantime moved to block the doors and the second employee had to move away. Before leaving, Ramirez took out another pistol and fired a shot in the air to prevent people from following them as they got into a Buick and fled away.

The police officers responding to the robbery abandoned the pursuit just after a few blocks as the defendants were driving fast and there were significant risks to civilians but the car first went through a fence of Ponderosa Elementary School and later crashed on its own.

Officers found Fetter hidden nearby while Ramirez fled the scene and was apprehended later. One of the guns was found by the officers in the middle of the playground while the other was found the next day by a student on the school grounds. Both guns were loaded.

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira UFC 281 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira UFC 281 Odds, Time, and Prediction

Alex Pereira is the only person in the world who’s managed to knock out Israel Adesanya. Admittedly, he didn’t do it in MMA but kickboxing. This Saturday at UFC 281, the two lock horns in an MMA fight. The bout in question comes with so much jeopardy.

It’s a title fight in the UFC Middleweight division. That’s the weight class in which Izzy has nothing but wins. Will Pereira be the one to change that? Let’s see!

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira Odds

Moneyline

Israel Adesanya -188
Alex Pereira +146

*Odds taken from FanDuel on Monday, November 7.

When, Where, and How to Watch?

  • Place: Maddison Square Garden in New York City, NY
  • Date: Saturday, November 12, 2022
  • How to Watch: UFC Fight Pass

Israel Adesanya Working His Way Toward Middleweight GOAT Status

Izzy is one of the best fighters ever to compete in the UFC Middleweight division. He’s been the divisional champion since 2019, defending the championship belt on five occasions.

His overall MMA record is 23-1 with 15 wins by knockout and eight by decision. Izzy’s only MMA defeat happened in March 2021 in a fight for the UFC Light Heavyweight title – Jan Blachowicz beat him by unanimous decision.

The fact that he has no submission wins doesn’t mean that he’s not a good grappler/wrestler. On the contrary, he’s got plenty of weapons in his arsenal and is extremely good at takedown defense.

Still, he probably won’t have to use his wrestling/grappling skills too much on Saturday as he’s locking horns with another great kickboxer.

Alex Pereira Might be the Hardest Striker in the Division

Kickboxing is his thing, while he’s not too much of a fan of MMA. Nevertheless, Pereira’s record in pro MMA is really impressive. After losing on his debut, he went on to win the next six fights. He won five of those by knockout/technical knockout.

This guy knows how to strike and kick, while he’s also very good on the floor. In fact, he’s turned himself into a real mixed martial artist who’s great in all aspects of fighting. Of course, he didn’t do that by himself. Pereira had a great tutor to lead the transformation.

What we’re talking about is that one of his coaches is Glover Teixeira, the former UFC Light Heavyweight champ who’s considered one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the promotion.

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira Prediction

This is going to be one hell of a fight. Both fighters are incredible striking-wise, while also having a strong chin. This means that we’re probably going to see a real fistfight on Saturday evening. But who’s going to triumph?

Oddsmakers think it’s gonna be Izzy, who’s priced at -188. We, however, think an upset is going to happen in the UFC 281 headliner. We think Pereira will knock Izzy out.

Picks: Alex Pereira to win by knockout/technical knockout

Kindred Launches Gamban in France

Kindred Launches Gamban in France

Kindred Group, a global holding operating several gambling and sports betting brands, has launched the Gamban software in France. The acclaimed solution allows players to effectively opt out of gambling.

As a leading gambling operator, Kindred realizes the importance of sustainability. As a result, the company’s “Journey to Zero” initiative seeks to make sure that the operator takes as little money from problem gamblers as possible. The Gamban software, which Kindred promotes, is a testament to the operator’s care for its players.

Kindred no announced that its flagship brand Unibet will launch Gamban in France. Starting November 10, a fully-localized version of the software will become accessible to players in the country. French problem players will, therefore, be able to download Gamban and use it to block all iGaming sites on their devices.

Gamban didn’t originally have a French localization. The new fully-localized version exists entirely thanks to Kindred, which funded its development. Kindred will, therefore, become the first operator that offers Gamban in France. Combined with the operator’s in-house safer gambling tools, Unibet will seek to make gaming and sports betting a safer experience for all of its customers.

Thanks to Gamban, players can get back in control of their own lives, eliminating the dangers of irresponsible gambling. While France already provides players with ways to exclude themselves from the 17 licensed operators, the Gamban solution is much more all-encompassing and blocks unlicensed sites as well.

Gamban Is Impressed by Kindred’s Commitment to Safer Gaming

Gamban’s VP of partnerships, Stephen Aupy, said that his team is very excited to join Kindred on its quest to curb gaming harm. Aupy praised Kindred for its dedication to safer gambling, as well as its decision to help Gamban launch in France. The VP noted that this means customers in the country can now use the robust blocking software to protect themselves from harm. Aupy concluded that this shows Kindred is truly committed to sustainability.

Meanwhile, Kindred Group’s general manager for France, Mathieu Drida, said that his company wants to make sure gambling is a fun source of entertainment. To that end, the operator must ensure that gambling is safe for all participants and that no customer experiences gambling harm. This is why Kindred wants to always provide customers with the tools they need to play safely.

This is what the partnership between Unibet and Gamban is all about, and we encourage all gambling operators to adopt this solution in order to make it more widely available in France.

Mathieu Drida, GM France, Kindred Group

In other news, Kindred just boosted its social media presence via an agreement with Sportradar.
