Dreamscape Raises $850m to Fund Rio Casino Revamp and Invest in Similar Properties

Rio Casino Las Vegas

The former Las Vegas home of the World Series of Poker, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, is getting a major makeover. News emerged Monday that the Rio’s parent company, New York real estate investor Dreamscape Companies, has raised $850m to remodel the resort and invest in similar properties.

Bloomberg cited an interview with Dreamscape founder and CEO Eric Birnbaum in which he said he’d created both a real estate investment trust (REIT) to own the resort and a property management company. He intends to leverage the two new entities to acquire more gambling and entertainment-related assets.

people crave experiences and being with others.”

Driving this move is the CEO’s belief there is potential for growth in this sector as leisure activities and travel bounces back to pre-pandemic levels. He said that something he learned from the pandemic was that people crave experiences and being with others.”

Dreamscape’s REIT will operate along similar lines to its New York-based peer VICI Properties, formed as a spin-off of Caesars Entertainment in 2017. Caesars sold the Rio to Dreamscape in 2019 for $516m.

The lion’s share of the $850m will go toward the REIT and the remainder to the management company. Makeover plans for the Rio include entertainment options, restaurants, and rooms.

TikTok Experiment With Gambling Ads Features Novelty Bet on Rihanna’s Super Bowl Show

TikTok logo on phone

Localized test run

Ahead of Super Bowl LVII, TikTok conducted a limited experiment with gambling advertisements. The popular social media app has banned gambling ads, but the team at TikTok allowed Sportsbet to advertise to a small number of users in Australia, who were shown ads for novelty bets on Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show.

“ads promoting fantasy sports, bingo or other gambling related content” are all prohibited

The TikTok terms of service state that “ads promoting fantasy sports, bingo or other gambling related content” are all prohibited. These products are subject to similar prohibitions as alcohol, tobacco, and prescription drugs.

However, the TOS also specify that “a closed pilot for sports betting is currently in operation.” Only “one managed client” was included in this trial. Sportsbet won the right to be that client through an online “application process.”

Targeting a new market

The Sportsbet ads were targeted at young women, an underrepresented demographic in the company’s client base.

the tribe they want to join is crazy for [betting]”

According to The Guardian, This was part of a wider effort by Superbet to diversify the kinds of customers who use its product. In an interview with the paper, advertising expert Tony Raph explained that the ads were looking to induce Rihanna fans to “pony up cash” by suggesting “the tribe they want to join is crazy for [betting].”

Women bet far less money on sporting events than do men and finding a way to create gateway markets for female viewers is a holy grail of sports betting operators.

Betting on Rihanna

The ads focused on prop bets such as what color outfit Rihanna would wear for the Super Bowl halftime show. Other bets included which songs would or would not be featured, which songs would start and end the performance, and an over/under on how many songs would be in the set.

Sportsbet also promoted its product with TikTok influencer Luisa Dal Din in a video captioned: “Me pretending I know horse racing to impress my crush.”

Gambling is a polarizing issue in Australia where it is more unpopular than fossil fuels and casino companies like the Crown have been under high-profile investigations.

As a result, TikTok is proceeding cautiously with this pilot. The company has stressed that the ads only appeared to users who are 21 years or older and emphasized that they were closely monitored.

Top 10 Movies About Gambling – Best Gambling Movies Ever

Top 10 Movies About Gambling – Best Gambling Movies Ever

Movies about gambling have been popular for decades. After all, the high stakes, emotion, and desperation that people associate with extreme gambling is almost tailor made for the big screen.

From the genre’s heyday in the 1960s and 70s to the modern feature films produced today, there have been many brilliant movies about gambling. Here, we have selected our absolute favorites.

Some of these movies use gambling as a backdrop for intense storylines and thrilling action. Others focus on the psychology and satisfaction that comes with dominating the tables.

But what do all these movies have in common? They will keep you on the edge of your seat until the closing credits.

1. Casino (1995)

Image: Casino via IMDB

Starring the incredible duo of Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci, Casino is a classic that everyone should watch.

Like many other Martin Scorsese films, Casino is based on true events that occurred when the Mob dominated Las Vegas during the 1970s.

👉 7 Completely True Events The Movie Casino Is Based On

The film follows Sam “Ace” Rothstein (De Niro) who manages casinos for the Chicago Mob. He works alongside made-mobster Nicky Santoro (Pesci).

Together they master the cutthroat business of casino work and earn massive profits for the crime outfit, until Ace finds his attention distracted by Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone).

As Ace’s life begins to unravel and the Mob’s grip on Las Vegas loosens, Casino takes on a frantic energy.

This thrilling excitement is what makes Casino one of the best movies about gambling ever made.

2. The Gambler (1974)

Image: The Gambler via IMDB

A brilliant James Caan stars in The Gambler as English professor, Axel Freed.

Apart from a love of literature, Freed also has a debilitating gambling addiction. Faced with $44,000 worth of debt and a rich family that is ashamed of him, Freed travels to Las Vegas in the hope of winning big.

The film was well received when it was released and has stood the test of time as a fantastic study in the damaging effects of compulsive betting. This honest, raw look at gambling has seen it become a classic.

Unfortunately, a 2014 remake starring Mark Wahlberg did not turn out so well.

3. Uncut Gems (2019)

Uncut Gems - movie
Image: Uncut Gems via IMDB

Uncut Gems is one of the few recently made movies to feature on this list.

Despite only coming out a few years ago, Uncut Gems is already seen as one of the best movies about gambling thanks to its incredible pace and stressful soundtrack.

Adam Sandler breaks away from his typically comedic roles to play Howard Ratner, a New York City jeweler who has an atrocious gambling habit.

A set of lucky circumstances sees Ratner develop a professional relationship with NBA star Kevin Garnett. With some insider information, Ratner sets up a bet on the NBA Championship Finals.

If this bet comes in, all of Ratner’s problems will be solved. But several loan sharks risk derailing it all.

4. California Split (1974)

California Split - movie
Image: California Split via IMDB

California Split thrills audiences while also teaching them some important life lessons.

Amateur gambler Bill (George Segal) becomes friends with a professional player called Charlie (Elliott Gould).

Their new friendship sees them both commit everything to a scintillating gambling trip to Reno.

The film also focuses on friendship, the psychology of gamblers, and that most important piece of gambling wisdom: When to quit.

This makes it an important watch for everyone, whether you fancy being a player at the poker table or not.

5. The Hustler (1961)

the Hustler - movie
Image: The Hustler via IMDB

As the only movie on this list that features pool as the main source of gambling, The Hustler is definitely a film of its time.

But just because pool hustling has fallen out of fashion in recent decades doesn’t make this film any less worthy of a place on this list.

This is because The Hustler is a story about grit and determination. What’s more, it’s backed up by brilliant performances from Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, Piper Laurie, and George C. Scott.

The Hustler was a huge success upon release and opinions have not changed.

In 1997, the movie was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.

Six years later the Academy Film Archive preserved The Hustler to make sure future generations can enjoy it.

If that’s not an indication of quality, we don’t know what is.

6. Molly’s Game (2017)

Molly's Game - movie
Image: Molly’s Game via IMDB

This list has been dominated by masculine films led by male stars, which unfortunately reflects the genre as a whole.

All too often women in gambling movies are limited to love interests, or that classic cliché – a prostitute with a heart of gold.

However, this isn’t the case in Molly’s Game.

Instead, this refreshing film takes a different approach entirely, by telling the true story of Molly Bloom (Jessica Chastain), a lady who runs an underground poker empire for Hollywood’s rich and famous.

Everything is going well until her multimillion-dollar business is put at risk when the FBI comes knocking…

7. The Cincinnati Kid (1965)

the Cincinnati Kid - movie
Image: The Cincinnati Kid via IMDB

Steve McQueen plays a cocky upstart in this classic movie about poker.

His character, “The Kid,” wants to prove himself against “The Man” – the best player around.

As the film is nearly exclusively about poker its popularity has continued to grow as the game itself goes from strength to strength.

Tension, a classic storyline, and strong acting are only slightly affected by the near impossible poker hands that pop up during the film.

However, McQueen is electric and the penultimate scene, when the final hands are revealed, is one of the best ever filmed.

8. Hard Eight (1996)

Hard Eight - movie
Image: Hard Eight via IMDB

An excellent cast is led by Philip Baker Hall who plays Sydney, an aging, quiet gambler that takes a young homeless man, Jack, under his wing.

After being taught the gambling ropes, Jack’s attention begins to be diverted by a cocktail waitress. A distraction that quickly transforms all the characters’ situations.

Supporting roles from Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and John C. Reilly brilliantly highlight the range of strange and interesting characters that you can find in any casino.

In other words, no other gambling movie explores and portrays people who gamble quite as well as Hard Eight

9. Rounders (1998)

Rounders - movie
Image: Rounders via IMDB

Rounders is a story of two friends: One a well-groomed law student (Matt Damon), and the other a loud ex-con (Edward Norton).

In an effort to bail Norton out of his debt the two friends go on a poker playing tear.

Many see Rounders as a classic representation of macho high stakes poker. Add to this some surprisingly feasible poker games and you have a film that most die-hard poker players will love.

But, it is the acting, which includes a brilliant supporting cast, that transforms Rounders into a film everyone can enjoy.

10. The Card Counter (2021)

The Card Counter - movie
Image: The Card Counter via IMDB

Rounding out our list is The Card Counter.

The movie was written and directed by Paul Schrader, the man who wrote iconic screenplays like Taxi Driver.

Interestingly, The Card Counter is equally gruesome and also has a theme of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Starring a restrained Oscar Isaac, The Card Counter marries both gambling and action in a film that never seems to take a breath.

Gamblers will particularly enjoy The Card Counter’s detailed recreation of the World Series of Poker tournament, and the final few scenes are sure to grab everyone’s attention.

Macau Visitor Numbers Still Exceed 50,000 per Day – Government to Direct Sports

Macau Visitor Numbers Still Exceed 50,000 per Day – Government to Direct Sports

Tourism and table drop are returning to Macau with the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) stating on Friday that daily visitor numbers have not fallen below 50,000 since the Chinese New Year holidays. The CNY Lunar New Year fell not long after the government in Beijing relaxed its zero-Covid policy on January 8, opening up travel in the country and lifting border restrictions after years of constricted footfall and revenue flow. The casino business was in serious decline prior to that move.

The Spring Festival Golden Week holiday ran from January 21 through January 27 this year with an average visitor count of about 64,000 – tripling the number of visitors from the same period in 2022. Macau saw a total of 451,000 visitors during Chinese New Year Golden Week this year.

Visitor Numbers Remain Strong

According to a report from Inside Asian Gaming, MGTO Deputy Director Cheng Wai Tong noted that visitor numbers have remained strong thanks to a shift in the way people are traveling. Also noting that international flights are returning slowly, especially regarding departures to Southeast Asia, he said that a restoration of the flights would result in a first wave of foreign visitors coming from Southeast Asia.

The end of the Chinese New Year holidays is a low season for self-guided tourists, but the mainland has resumed group tours, so I believe we can increase the number of visitors in the future,” he added.

The number of group tours is gradually increasing and MGTO will continue to monitor the situation of the tourism industry.”

Earlier reports indicated the MGTO was considering offering incentives to outside travelers such as reduced-price accommodations to visitors from Hong Kong as well as other concessions for people coming in from Taiwan.

However, Friday’s information seems to indicate that may no longer be the case, perhaps because numbers are relatively strong already.

At present, the MGTO mainly handles group tours from the mainland, while the hotel concessions for Hong Kong visitors are being studied and does not have a timetable for launch,” Cheng explained.

Fewer Players Betting More

While daily visitor numbers are still averaging less than half of what they were before the pandemic, the people who are coming are betting more. Citigroup Global Markets Inc. surveyed players on the mass gaming floors and premium mass players, excluding “whales” or junket rooms from the numbers.

The Citigroup survey observed 490 players gambling at premium mass tables during CNY with an average bet of a little more than $3,000 per hand (US$3082/HKD 24,178). The average bet amount was about 45% higher than it was in the 2019 period of observation. The average minimum bet was still in line with that of 2019 at about $285 (HKD 2,235) per hand across all 15 casinos.

Wynn has reportedly recovered 95% of its table drop compared to pre-Covid levels. The recovery percentages would likely be much less for some of the operators that were still actively hosting junkets and super high roller “tours” in 2019 but have shifted more to mass gaming and other attractions now.

Sports and Tourism to Continue Growth

According to another report from the local outlet, Macau’s Social Affairs and Culture office said on Thursday that all six casino concessionaires will need to submit plans for sporting events in March. The government had required all to commit to non-gaming attractions and is developing a sports with tourism plan to coordinate major events with the operators.

Some events have already been organized and will just need to be coordinated with the government. All six operators are longtime sponsors of the Macau Grand Prix. Other events already in the works include the Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon, Sands China Macao International 10k race, and the MGM MACAU International Regatta.

Former MLB All-Star Yasiel Puig Claims Racial Bias Over Illegal Gambling Charges

Yasiel Puig

A former MLB All-Star facing criminal charges relating to illegal betting believes that he has fallen victim to racial bias. Yasiel Puig is facing two criminal charges for allegedly placing sports bets through an illegal gambling operation in 2019.

Puig originally pled guilty to making false statements to federal law enforcement in November last year. He changed this to a not-guilty plea in December. Among the reasons given for the change of heart were Puig’s mental health issues at the time of the interview and the fact that none of his legal counsel were present during.

Puig’s legal team has now asked the judge to order federal authorities to hand over records relating to the prosecution team’s investigative patterns. They allege that there was clear racial bias in this case and that the requested documents could help show “selective prosecution” and lead to a dismissal.

charged, reprimanded, and made an example of more than the non-Black men”

Crump explained how Puig “was just a witness, and he was charged, reprimanded, and made an example of more than the non-Black men who were the actual targets of investigation.”

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, a member of Puig’s team, highlighted that his client was hit with criminal charges after just a single interview. He compared this to how the authorities treated others who were actually part of the illegal gambling operation, claiming they got away with destroying evidence and lying.

Flutter Strongly Considering a US Stock Market Listing

Stock prices

Flutter Entertainment is getting closer to a listing on a US stock exchange. The gambling group announced on Tuesday that it is seriously considering such a move amid the success of the company’s US-focused FanDuel business.

FanDuel is the dominant operator of sportsbooks in the US

FanDuel is on track to be Flutter’s biggest business by revenue as it continues to be a major player in the US daily fantasy sports, iGaming, and sports betting markets. Flutter stated in November that FanDuel is the dominant operator of sportsbooks in the US, holding a 41% share of the market.

Flutter believes that having a US listing would “yield a number of long-term strategic and capital market benefits.” Some of these benefits would include boosting its US profile, better recruitment and retention of talent, and access to deeper capital markets and new domestic investors in the US.

Flutter plans to consult with shareholders before deciding whether to proceed with a formal resolution. If shareholders sufficiently support the proposal, this move would take precedence over any plan to list a small number of FanDuel shares.

IGA and CNIGA Tribal Gaming Seminar HIghlights from ICE London

IGA and CNIGA Tribal Gaming Seminar HIghlights from ICE London

The Indian Gaming Association and Pechanga.net of America presented a Tribal Gaming Seminar at ICE in London last week. One of the presentations to attendees focused on learning lessons from recent attempts, failures, and successful launches of online casino gaming and sports betting in the U.S.

This was done in light of what legacy gaming providers such as tribal operators are willing to participate in as far as regulatory models and to demonstrate the evolving attitudes of tribal operators looking for a win-win situation with other stakeholders.

The seminar outline suggests that new operators need to secure the cooperation of current stakeholders in the gambling industry before launching products in those states, some of them large and potentially very lucrative, like California where the Pechanga Band of Indians operates Pechanga Resort Casino near Temecula, California. The casino is one of the largest resort casinos in America with over 5,400 slot machines and about 200,000 sq ft of gaming space.

Tribal and Commercial Propositioned Both Failed in November

Two separate ballot propositions for sports betting failed to pass in California during the last regular election when residents were asked whether or not they wanted online betting – a positive result could have eventually led to online casino regulation as well. One of the propositions was backed by commercial operators and the other one was primarily backed by the state’s tribes.

Commercial global brands were unable to push their referendums across the finish line, largely due to a lack of understanding about the tribes’ unique positions in the markets as well as the political clout they heft, along with the revenue goals the legacy operators seek for their constituents – the tribal members.

The synopsis stated that the tribes are not opposed to innovation, modernization, and expansion into new verticals and channels as long as it doesn’t threaten their future participation and involvement in them.

According to an in-depth report on CDC Gaming Reports, when asked how he expects online gaming to change over the next two years, Mark Macarro, Pechanga Band of Indians Chairman, told listeners at the seminar that iGaming is inevitable in the state of California and that Millennials are driving the new gaming channels.

I think there’s a demographic proclivity to want to play online. It doesn’t exist right now with the Baby Boomers and Gen X. But Millennials are different players and we’re not sure that slot machines will be what they want to play”, he said.

Not in my Backyard Unless I Play Too

Macarro was joined on the panel by California Nations Indian Gaming Association (CNIGA) chairman James Siva. The CNIGA chairman was also of the opinion that the commercial betting bill was rejected because voters expected the commercial interests to cooperate with tribal gaming interests in the state.

Siva enumerated the number of tribal gaming interests in the US at 270 and noted that 70 of those tribes’ locations are within the state’s borders.

Tribal gaming represents about a quarter of all gaming revenue in the US and 44% of that occurs in California, according to Siva.

So you break that down and that means that California tribes represent nearly a tenth of the entire gaming market of the U.S. Commercial, tribal, everything”.

He noted that perhaps cooperation or diplomacy may have been a more successful tactic than steamrolling, per see.

Either they massively underestimated the size and reach of those tribes, both politically and financially, or they maybe had bad campaign consultants”, he said.

Panelists Agree Tribal/Commercial Partnerships may be way Forward.

I think there’s still a path for tribes and the commercial operators to work together, but it’s going to be a path and relationship that’s decided by the tribes. This isn’t the first time we’ve had commercial entities want a seat at the table as equal to tribes”, Siva said.

This need for commercial entities to respect the sovereignty of the California tribes and negotiate with them for access to California, as they would with legislators and regulators in other states, was reiterated by Macarro, who promised that the tribes would always counter non-diplomatic attempts to launch in the state

Among the things we learned is that if you have two similar-sounding measures in front of the voters on the same ballot, they will get confused and vote no”, he said.

So if nothing else changes from the corporates, if they make another run at this without doing a lot of the stuff we talked about as being necessary to be successful, it’ll be regarded as hostile by the tribes. And all we would have to do is put another ballot on the initiative. Confuse the voters, they’ll vote no, and both will go down in flames again”, he said.

GeoComply announces over 100 million Super Bowl online bets

GeoComply announces over 100 million Super Bowl online bets

The creators of GeoComply, the location detection software, now being used by Sportsbook Apps in order to detect VPN location fraud, reported a record 100 million geolocation checks in 23 US states and the District of Columbia with legitimate, online sports wagering throughout Super Bowl LVII weekend.

This was the first Super Bowl event in the state to include legitimate sports wagering.

Description of geolocation check:

The most important geolocation checks include:

  • GeoComply performed 100 million geolocation checks on Saturday and Sunday, a 25 percent increase over last year’s Super Bowl weekend;
  • GeoComply registered 7,4 million accounts over the weekend, an increase of 32 percent compared to last year;
  • Data from GeoComply shows more than 100,000 geolocation checks in and around State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with over 8,000 fan betting accounts;
  • New York topped all states with 13,9 million GeoComply geolocation checks throughout Super Bowl weekend.

Commenting on Geocomply’s geolocation checks, Anna Sainsbury, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Geocomply, said: “Super Bowl LVII was a record-breaking event. GeoComply data reveals that Americans’ interest in legally betting on the Super Bowl has never been higher. It also showed that many fans at State Farm Stadium embraced their newfound ability to bet while watching the game in person.”

Super Bowl’s huge impact on legal sports betting:

The location of the Super Bowl and the home of the two competing teams had a stimulating effect on legitimate wagering activities in their respective states.

An example of this is: since sports wagering is legitimate in Arizona, where State Farm Stadium is located, large hordes of Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs fans have come to Arizona just to bet on their favorite teams.

Another example is: Kansas legalized online sports betting in September 2022. However, the Kansas City Chiefs stadium and many fans are located in Missouri, where unfortunately sports betting is still illegal. That’s why during Super Bowl weekend, GeoComply reported a record 2,2 million legitimate sports wagering geolocation transactions in Kansas while Missourians tried to legitimize bookies in another states a quarter-of-a-million times and were blocked from placing bets.

One more example of this is that throughout Super Bowl weekend, GeoComply recorded more than 100,000 geolocation checks from mobile wagering to Arizona-regulated online sportsbooks in and around the Super Bowl stadium.

Super Bowl as prime prey for online scammers:

Along with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the Super Bowl is prime prey for online scammers looking to use the increased fan interest for their own benefit.

Throughout the entire week leading up to the Super Bowl, GeoComply’s technology detected and denied access to online fraudsters by blocking over 140,000 fraud attempts. It has protected consumers and sportsbooks from scam groups, account takeovers and ID theft among other financial scams.

In this regard, Ms. Sainsbury added: “It’s no secret that online fraud is a growing concern across all forms of e-commerce. Online sports betting may be a target for fraud, but because every bettor must verify their location, the industry has the data to stop it before it starts. GeoComply is proud to be a cyber security asset to the industry.

“GeoComply’s unprecedented transaction figures from this Super Bowl weekend reflect the growth of legal online sports betting. This tightly regulated industry emphasizes consumer protection, transparency, and accountability. Every state that regulates sports betting is a blow to the predatory black market that operates in the shadows, providing zero safeguards for bettors and no economic benefit to the local community.”

Online sports betting industry as a leading revenue for the US:

The legitimate online sports wagering industry is an economic driver, collecting more than $2.47 billion in tax income across the US as of May 2018.

The introduction of regulated online sports betting in Arkansas, Kansas, Maryland and Ohio since last year’s Super Bowl helped drive GeoComply’s transaction volumes to new significant levels, with over 44 percent of the US population now able to legally wager on the game.

Newly regulated Ohio moved right into GeoComply’s top five states, ranked by geolocation transactions during Super Bowl weekend. It joins New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

About:

Triple Cherry CEO Juan Antonio Galindo Speaks With VSO News

Juan Antonio

Spanish gaming supplier Triple Cherry has been creating high-quality online slots for more than five years. It now has more than 30 slot titles within its portfolio, with themes ranging from Ancient Egypt to Pinocchio and even World Cup soccer.

exciting Wild West-style game Big Dig Gold

The company recently made its first appearance in VegasSlotsOnline News’ Slots of the Week for its exciting Wild West-style game Big Dig Gold, and judging by the success of that title it seems Triple Cherry will likely make it into our weekly roundup plenty more times in the future.

VSO News caught up with Triple Cherry CEO Juan Antonio Galindo. He explained a bit about the supplier’s recipe for innovative design and hinted at the new slot releases we can expect after Big Dig Gold.

Tell us a bit about yourself, how you found yourself at Triple Cherry, and your favorite thing about working in the iGaming industry.

I finished my studies as a computer engineer in 1995 and since then I have dedicated myself to entrepreneurship with different companies in various sectors. I entered the iGaming industry in 2015 as a partner and investor in a very successful Spanish company and after three years, I decided to create my own company together with my partners from No Spoon Tech Lab. That’s how Triple Cherry was born.

iGaming is a very innovative sector with a high speed of technological adaptation, that’s what I like the most.

Ah, so you have around eight years of experience in the sector. What advice would you have for someone who is just entering the industry?

It is a very tough and competitive sector with many companies producing high quality games. You have to know how to find a target and differentiate yourself.

high quality graphics and sound ambience

Triple Cherry games are differentiated by their high quality graphics and sound ambience. But not only for that, we are always innovating in the features of the games and looking for new market trends. In this way, we get polished and strongly-tested mathematics, ensuring success in our target markets.

Did you attend ICE last week? How important are events like this for Triple Cherry and the industry itself?

That’s right. Triple Cherry’s sales team was present at ICE. For us, the big events in Europe, LATAM, and North America are a great opportunity to visit our current customers and showcase our games. Gathering so many people from the industry in the same place allows networking and creativity when doing business.

How do you compete with some of the other more established brands?

As I said before, it is a very tough and competitive sector. New companies and start-ups are constantly appearing, with a huge investment that makes them grow rapidly. You have to know how to focus on the ideal product for your target audience and your target market. But most importantly, you have to be creative in your games and produce games of the highest quality. At least, that has been our success formula.

What main markets are you focused on? And are there any new ones you’re eyeing up?

We are a Spanish company, so Spain and our neighboring Italy have always been priority markets for us. We also have many customers in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Turkey and Russia. We are in the process of being licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.

We are exploring other markets with their own regulations and we will be able to tell you more very soon.

Moving onto your latest release Big Dig Gold, how did you first come up with the idea?

We know what kind of themes have historically worked in the industry. And we also know that we can give the Triple Cherry hallmark to many of them, even though they are recurring. Before starting a new game we think carefully about where to move.

It was time to visit the old Wild West

We have recently traveled to China with Yin Yang Legends; we have participated in the World Cup with Wild Cup Soccer and GOAL Crash, our first Crash game; we have discovered fossils frozen millions of years ago with Iced Fossils and we have also gone to an arcade with Joker Wheel. It was time to visit the old Wild West and see the gold rush up close with its contrasts of light and darkness inside a mine.

Big Dig Gold by Triple Cherry

Why should our readers give the game a go?

Big Dig Gold is a fast game with a distinctive atmosphere. It features a fortune wheel through which you can get direct prizes or access to a free spins phase full of gold and riches, in which many will be able to fill their pockets. But mainly your readers should give it a go because it is a very fun title to play.

What have you got lined up for the rest of 2023?

For now, we can let you know that we will travel to ancient Egypt and see all that Cleopatra has to offer. Who knows, later we might also take a trip to the gladiators’ Rome or fall in love in the streets of Paris! We always have our passport ready and our luggage in our suitcase.
