On Tuesday, the firm revealed it hired the services of wagering specialist Bree Ryan. Joining Senet, Ryan became a part of the firm’s associates team. Before joining Senet, Ryan was a part of Tabcorp. During her tenure with the company, she held the position of deputy general counsel of wagering and media.

Moreover, Ryan’s professional background includes extensive experience with a leading law firm called Minter Ellison, as well as Sportsbet. Overall, Ryan is a proven expert with a track record and significant experience within the wagering vertical.

Senet Expands Team of Experts

Becoming a part of Senet, she joins a growing roster of proven industry experts and in fact, reconnects with former Tabcorp colleagues. As a part of the company’s associate team, Ryan joins Senet Principals Daniel Lovecek and Julian Hoskins. Previously, she collaborated with the duo when she was a part of Tabcorp. Additionally, as a part of Senet, Ryan will collaborate with Caitlin McCombe, who is currently a senior associate for the firm.

Throughout her professional career, Ryan has accumulated significant experience by providing legal counsel on strategic topics, including landmark regulatory investigations and the integration of two ASX-listed companies. Furthermore, she has a strong understanding of responsible gambling compliance and different compliance reform initiatives.

Hoskins acknowledged that Senet currently holds a leadership position within compliance advisory and gambling law in Australia. He explained that Ryan delivers extensive experience which will ultimately help the company’s clients with different regulation and gambling law matters. Finally, Hoskins said that Ryan has strong connections with international and domestic operators that are currently active within the regulated market in the country.

The latest announcement comes after only recently, Senet confirmed the name of the first company to participate in its new accreditation program called Senet Assure. Norths Collective, an NSW company will be the first organization to participate in the extensive program that seeks to ensure operators have comprehensive policies against match-fixing and effective responsible gambling controls.
