"K.clement" Wins The First PartyPoker Ontario Micro Series Main Event

After two weeks — and hundreds of fast-paced online poker tournaments — the Micro Series on PartyPoker Ontario has wrapped up.

From June 11 to June 26, players battled it out across 88 events, most of which were made up of three tournaments (a high-, medium-, and low-stakes edition of each). All in all, PartyPoker Ontario had guaranteed $200,000 in prizes. While the biggest events beat their guarantees, there were plenty of smaller events offering excellent overlay to any watchful bargain hunters in among the tourney lobbies.

Off the success of the Micro Series, PartyPoker Ontario has also launched a series of tournaments in the same kind of price range called Daily Legends that start up this week.

At the heart of the action was Event #87-H: $55 Main Event PKO. With 521 entries across 30 Day 1 flights, the event had a prize pool of $26,050. $13,441 in the main prize pool and $12,609 in bounties.

Of those 521 entrants, only 70 made the final day. All 70 collected a paycheck starting at $65.26 for a min-cash. Those 70 battled it out for four hours and thirteen minutes until 69 of them had fallen and “K.clement” had all the chips.

K.clement chopped with his heads-up opponent “weiser1.” For his trouble, K.clement took home a total of $4,038 — made up of $1,895 in prize money and $2,143 in bounties — and the title of Micro Series Main Event Champion.

Sign Up To Play Daily Legends On PartyPoker Ontario

If you missed the action of the PartyPoker Ontario Micro Series, but still want in, then you might be interested in the new series of tournaments that PartyPoker Ontario is calling Daily Legends.

These events are aimed at recreational players looking to have a good time. The key features of these Daily Legends are a ban on heads-up displays, limited rebuys, and short late registration periods. These features target some standard practices among professionals that tend to suck the fun out of poker. In doing so, the folks at PartyPoker Ontario are making a place for recreational players to enjoy competitive games.

There are twelve Daily Legend tournaments in total, including a series of special Super Sunday events with $100,000 guaranteed. Other highlights include daily Terminator (an $11 PKO tourney with $1k GTD), Predator ($22 PKO), and Titan ($33 PKO) events.
