Betting With Bonnie – Gambling With An Edge

Putting Bills Into a Machine

Bonnie and I’ve been together for about 10 years — with our ninth wedding anniversary coming up next month. We knew each other, more or less, for about five years before that in that we both belonged to the same square dance club. Bonnie would come with her husband Fred and I would be there with Shirley. There were about 100 “regulars” and we all knew each other. Each “square” consisted of eight dancers who would dance together for about five minutes, and then the squares would get shuffled and you’d dance with another group of dancers. While I thought Bonnie was a nice lady, I had no thoughts of us ever hooking up together. We were both married and I thought Shirley and I would be together so long as we both lived.

Fred, Bonnie’s husband of 47 years, died from cancer in early 2012, and Shirley shocked me in late 2012, saying her lung health precluded her from living with anybody who was ever around smokers. Without going through all of the details, she moved to California, I stayed in Vegas, we separated our assets and filed for divorce. It 100% was not what I had planned nor what I wanted, but this was the situation I was in.

After sitting at home feeling sorry for myself for a few months, eventually I started going out. The square dance club was a comfortable place. Everybody knew both Shirley and me, didn’t take sides, and were relatively sensitive to the struggles I was going though. For quite some time, I danced with several of the ladies, including many with regular partners who would dance with me once or twice each night. Bonnie was one of many I danced with. I basically could dance as often as I wanted — no strings attached.

Time heals all wounds, they say, and over time I began to be myself again. They were starting an “advanced” square dance class and independently Bonnie and I each decided to take it. There were relatively few single dancers in the class, and in my opinion Bonnie was by far the most attractive single lady there. I wasn’t ready for dating yet, nor was she, but I convinced her that a “dance partners only” relationship for a while was a good idea. Eventually, of course, it turned into more.

It was well known in the club that I was a gambler and video poker teacher. Each time a new series of classes started, I’d announce it at the club and probably 40 of the club dancers attended one or more classes through the years. Bonnie liked gambling, but she was very frugal. She would limit her gambling trips to once a month with friends, and her gambling budget was $3 a night. She never won.

While I did hope to find one special lady, I wasn’t in a big hurry. I had a “list” of what I definitely wanted and what I definitely wanted to avoid and high on that list was financial responsibility. Even after Shirley and I split what our accumulated wealth, I still had a fairly sizeable bankroll and was not interested in any woman with serious financial problems. I didn’t need for a woman to be wealthy. I could afford a wife. I just didn’t want someone who was broke and likely to go through whatever assets I had. A lady who always lost at gambling would be automatically disqualified from my search.

Unless it was only $3 per month.

Michigan’s Cy Church, a Fixture on the MSPT, Passes Away Unexpectedly

Michigan’s Cy Church, a Fixture on the MSPT, Passes Away Unexpectedly

The poker world received sad news over the weekend as Cy Church, a respected up-and-coming mid-stakes grinder from Michigan, passed away unexpectedly.

“It is with great sorrow that we share this heartbreaking news. Our world was shattered Friday when our precious son Cy left to begin his journey,” his family shared on social media. “He had so many who loved him as we have; he was a kind, gentle soul. We have shared this news with those we know were especially close to him, but there are so many that we could not contact everyone individually.

It continued: “We have been so blessed to have him in our life here on earth. While we cannot fathom creating future memories without him, we take comfort in knowing his ancestors have greeted him with open arms in his new life. We welcome your prayers for our family in this time of grief. We are taking the time we need to grieve this unthinkable truth, and if we cannot respond to everyone, please know that your prayers and well wishes mean so much to us and are carrying us through this heavy time.”

According to the Hendon Mob, Church amassed $342,414 in career tournament earnings dating back to 2016. The majority of that — $263,498 to be exact – came on the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) where Church was a familiar face at the felt.

Over the course of his short poker career, he had 17 MSPT Main Event cashes including three final table appearances. Back in October 2016, he finished runner-up to Brett Blackwood in the MSPT Michigan State Poker Championship for a career-high $$114,701, and more recently he had two more final table appearances back in 2021.

In January of that year, he finished fourth in the MSPT Grand Falls for $33,972, and then in May followed it up with a third-place finish in the MSPT South Dakota State Poker Championship in Deadwood for $53,340.

“As a child, my grandpa taught me to play five-card draw and this was my first experience with poker,” Church previously said in an interview for MSPT Magazine. “I wasn’t reintroduced to the game until I went to jail. We had a little bit of free time and would play for commissary items such as ramen noodles and honey buns. It was a fun way to kill time. Little did I know; the game would become a big part of my life.

Church also had cashes at the World Series of Poker, WSOP Circuit, Chicago Poker Classic, Wynn, Venetian, Heartland Poker Tour, and more.

Poker World Reacts

The sudden passing of Church was shocking to many poker players, especially those in the Midwest who had the opportunity to get to know him on the felt.

“You will be so missed! Thank you for all the great memories, on and off the table. May your beautiful soul rest easy,” wrote Halie Flack, the daughter of the late Poker Hall of Famer Layne Flack.

Two-time MSPT champ Jason Zarlenga said, “Horrible news…Cy and I spoke at almost every poker spot. Always upbeat and happy…prayers and condolences to the family. Gone way too soon.”

The MSPT also shared the following statement with PokerNews:

“When it came to tough competitors on the MSPT, Cy Church was right up there with the best of them. He was very nearly the MSPT Michigan State Poker Champion back in 2016, but some bad luck had him coming up one spot sort. Even so, he played like a champion that day, and it wasn’t the last time he competed for a title. We will miss seeing Cy and his unmistakable smile on the tour. The MSPT offers its condolence to Church’s family and friends at this difficult time.”

SZTFH Decree Massages Hungary’s Online Betting Operator Rules

SZTFH Decree Massages Hungary’s Online Betting Operator Rules

With a ruling party super-majority in the Parliament of Hungary, simply pulling the levers of powers should be enough to move any desired legislation through the political process in a normal and legal manner. However, for well over 2,500 days now the government has used that absolute majority to do some things without transparent debate or utilizing other hallmarks of liberal democracy – instead relying on simple decrees to accomplish the State’s business.

That’s not to say that the emergency powers completely constipate the government, as can be seen in the online gambling industry through the lens of the country’s Gambling Act – something Hungary has been “trying to get right” since the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) issued rulings in 2016 and in 2017 which should encourage the government to come into compliance not to infringe the freedom to provide services (Article 56 TFEU) or grant non-competitive concessions.

The Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs (SZTFH) has recently issued a decree implementing minor changes to allow amendments to the country’s Gambling Act to function more fairly or efficiently.

Technical Clarifications, Fees

Operators who wish to offer online sportsbetting there must meet certain financial requirements and prove up at least five years of experience offering licensed online gambling services in a European Economic Area state. Any operator who has offered unlicensed gaming within five years of the dated application will be rejected from consideration for a license.

In an attempt to protect bettors from harm, operators will be able to offer early cashouts on sports betting wins but the operator must warn the player about the immediate gratification of such an action as it could contribute to gambling addiction.

The decree reads: “The gambling operator is obliged to expressly draw the player’s attention to the fact that the use of this function entails an increased risk of excessive gambling and addiction and this information shall appear in the text of promotion in the same font size as the text.”

It continues: “The gambling operator shall also make available to the player on the gambling website the information that the use of that function entails an increased risk of excessive gambling and addiction.”

In order to facilitate early cashouts bettors will now be allowed to have segmented account balances rather than one master balance.

Early cashouts are subject to any regular terms and conditions of other withdrawals.

Recent History of Changes

Early last year, legislation was introduced to help Hungary come into compliance with anti-monopoly measures that should promote a more free and open market as many nearby EU states have done. At the dawn of 2023, several conditions or technical changes were made that could apply to casino operators as well as sports betting providers.

However, none of the changes loosen the hold on remote casino licenses that are still tethered directly to the three main land-based operators. While the CJEU ruled in Unibet’s favor in 2016, ostensibly opening the door to other European online casino operators, the land-based casinos can be declared a priority of national economic interest. This allowed budget items in the 2021 work sessions to grant 35-year extensions to the casino licensees without a public tender process.

The workaround used, according to local democracy watchdogs was to re-allocate the concessions as at least half of the original concession period had come to pass. This was purported to assure the state continuity in revenues for the long term.

A government-connected stakeholder in Las Vegas Casino group is operated by Diamond Játékaszinó Üzemeltető Kft. (LVC Diamond), the most important urban casino operator was originally granted a concession in 2015 that was set to expire in 2024 but now extends to 2056.

Our research does not find any mechanism in legislative accomplishments or decrees that would untether online casino licenses in Hungary from land-based operator licenses so it would appear as if at least one operator is locked in.

The LVC Diamond properties include The Atlantis, Atrium Eurocenter, Corvin Promenade, Sofitel, and Tropicana casinos.

Tax Authority Retaliated Against Operator for Lawsuit

One thing the Unibet lawsuit did accomplish was to tease out a CJEU ruling that recognizes Hungary’s online gambling rules did not allow the taxing authority to take retaliatory actions against other EU-licensed operators as it did in response to Unibet filing suit. Those actions included ordering ISPs to block access to the site and the levying of fines against the operator and its parent company, Kindred Group.

In short, while the process for licensing land-based casinos and thus their tethered counterparts online may not be in line with EU standards, there isn’t much, if anything standing in the way of a Malta Gaming Authority-licensed casino offering services there.

So far, SZTFH has not authorized any foreign operators to offer sports betting with all regulated consumer traffic still flowing through Tippmixpro.hu – operated by the former and still a de facto monopoly of Szerencsejáték Zrt.

Australia Looks into Betting Firms Banning Winning Punters

NeoGames 2020 Indiana License Application Questioned

A lawmaker and a representative of the largest online sports betting company in Australia engaged in an intense discussion earlier this week. The topic was whether or not betting operators block gamblers that are continuously winning and involved the committee chair of the House of Representatives for Dunkley, Victoria, Peta Murphy, as well as Barni Evans, the CEO of SportsBet, a famous online sports betting company in the country, ABC News revealed.

Murphy asked SportsBet’s CEO if the company stops punters from being able to bet or access their betting accounts if such people are constantly using different promotions as well as other inducements to always win. The response of the company’s CEO was that on specific occasions, it may restrict access to a customer’s account and the options for betting or depositing.

Evans explained that such occasions would involve an individual that is demonstrating the use of insider information that can ultimately impact the market for other punters. On other occasions, he said, restricting accounts or depositing may be enforced when the company notices an individual betting on behalf of another person, something that’s not uncommon for many gambling operators.

Punters Can Be Restricted from Betting over Several Reasons

Additionally, Evans said that if a punter was in a cool-off period or has enforced a deposit limit, they would not be allowed to deposit. “If they are betting in highly illiquid markets that are volatile and have very high fluctuations, then we would reduce the amount of available stakes in those areas,” added the CEO.

We will seek occasionally to limit some forms of transactions either bets or deposits in a number of circumstances.

Barni Evans, CEO of SportsBet

Hearing Evans’ response, Murphy asked once again if a bettor’s account would be restricted if they are winning constantly without using insider information. She did not receive a response that greatly differed from the previous statement of SportsBet’s CEO. Continuing the discussion, Evans explained that the company doesn’t restrict users that are mathematically gifted. However, he said that clients that are using insider information cannot be allowed to bet as it would create an unfair market for the other bettors.

Murphy asked the same question once again trying to extract more information from Evans, but the CEO kept his position, saying that suspending of accounts happens when insider trading is observed. The chair of the House of Representatives explained that she wants to know if gambling companies suspend or restrict bettor’s accounts when they are constantly winning, outlining that she knows a person that has seen this happen. In the end, Murphy did not receive a yes or no answer and concluded that betting companies may stop people from betting whenever they are only winning.

Lucky Slots Player in Reno Turned a $10 Bet Into a $14m Jackpot Win

Happy woman winning at slots

Everyone who puts money into a slot machine dreams of hitting it big, but the vast majority never do. One lucky slot player in Reno, Nevada, though, hit it really big, turning a $10 bet into a $14m jackpot win, the largest-ever slot machine jackpot won in the city’s history. The unnamed local woman was playing on a Megabucks machine at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa when she made the once-in-a-lifetime score.

casino staff was extremely happy about the long-time patron’s big win

She wasn’t even supposed to be staying at the casino that day because she was set to go on a cruise. When it was cancelled, she decided to extend her stay at Atlantis. The property’s general manager Cheraz Ecker said the casino staff was extremely happy about the long-time patron’s big win.

The Megabucks slot machine is a popular game at many casinos around Nevada and carries a progressive jackpot. It has been on the scene since its release by IGT in 1986.

It marks the first Megabucks progressive jackpot victory in the state since April 2021. While it was a record-breaking win for Reno, the biggest-ever Megabucks jackpot victory in Nevada was $39.7m, hit in 2003 at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Vodafone to Help Allwyn Improve the National Lottery’s Tech Offer

Vodafone to Help Allwyn Improve the National Lottery’s Tech Offer

Lottery giant Allwyn UK announced that it has finalized a new agreement with Vodafone. The new partnership will see the two companies upgrade the technological aspect of the UK National Lottery starting 2024.

Vodafone agreed to provide IoT connectivity and broadband, which will be delivered as a private secure network for all retail sites, the official announcement reads. In addition, Vodafone will host the lottery in its data centers in the United Kingdom. Finally, the provider will power Allwyn’s offices with WAN connectivity.

Vodafone also will help Allwyn upgrade the National Lottery to a mobile-first approach. This will make the lottery easier to deploy and more manageable. As a result, the changes will help retail shops boost their sales.

Furthermore, Allwyn and Vodafone found out that one in three Brits would like to see more digital technology in their local convenience store. According to recent research, local corner shops most commonly use websites (19%), social media (16%) and self-service checkouts (15%).

By comparison, only 12% of customers said that their local store has a mobile app or a loyalty program. Only 9%, on the other hand, were aware of online collection ordering services. The research demonstrated that there is an opportunity for retailers to leverage tech to enhance the shopping experience for their customers.

The Improvements Will Benefit Retailers as Well

Vodafone’s UK business director, Nick Gliddon, said that digital tech can play a big role in transforming a business and improving customer experience. He noted that, sadly, the lottery sector has not benefitted a lot from the recent developments in technology, at least as of yet. However, the current partnership will change that, Gliddon noted:

This partnership is a significant digital step forward that will help high street retailers keep up with changing consumer patterns, engaging new audiences and supporting Allwyn with reinvigorating the UK National Lottery so that it can continue to raise funds for good causes.

Nick Gliddon, UK business director, Vodafone

Robert Chvatal, Allwyn UK’s interim chief executive, also shared his thoughts on the matter. He said that Allwyn and Vodafone now have a “clearly defined scope and plan” to improve the National Lottery’s current technology offer.

Chvatal promised that the improvements will not only benefit customers but retailers as well. For example, Vodafone will assist Allwyn in providing digital skills training to retailers in Britain, in line with the operator’s commitment to supporting high-street retailers.

Physical retail is a critically important part of our plan to grow the National Lottery and this is just one of the many things we are committed to doing over the course of the Fourth License to better support our retail partners with the investment and equipment they need to grow their own businesses.

Robert Chvatal, interim CEO, Allwyn UK

A month ago, Allwyn closed the acquisition of Camelot LS Group.

Mini Southwest Companion fare offer, very limited time

Facebook

Southwest is running a new companion fare option until 4/5/23. It is very short notice but it might be beneficial to some people.

You need to purchase a round trip ( or 2 one way) tickets by 4/5/23 and travel by 5/24/23. That will get you a companion fare from 8/15/23 to 9/30/23. Note that the qualifying flight(s) have to be paid flights, not purchased with frequent flier miles.

There is some fine print, so be sure to read that before applying. It does state that reservations made before you opt in for this promotion will not count for this promotion. I don’t know if you cancel the flight and rebook if you can get around this restriction.

There are a lot of hoops to jump through but I can see some value in it. If you book an inexpensive, short flight to qualify, you can then use companion fare on a more expensive flight in the August September time frame. It is unclear if you can use FF miles and get the free companion fare during this period.

Again, lots of things need to line up for this to work. Be sure to check all the rules and see if this is useful for you

The Best and Worst MLB Fan Bases by Team

The Best and Worst MLB Fan Bases by Team

Baseball is more than just a sport. It’s a source of pride and identity for millions of fans across the US. These fans are deeply passionate about their teams, and this passion can sometimes lead to intense rivalries and alliances between different fan bases.

With the new season of Major League Baseball underway, we figured there’s no better time than the present to revive the age-old debate: Which MLB team has the best fans? The problem with this question is bias. Ask a Cardinals fan, and they will tell you that the Cardinals have the best fan base.

Casino.org has surveyed over 5,000 MLB fans, and specifically asked, outside of your own, which other baseball team has the best and worst fan base? From this, we have been able to determine the most and least popular fans across the league.

The Results

The Fan Favorite: Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs fans were chosen as the best by fans of 12 other teams (40%) in the league, including the Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves, and New York Mets. Cubs fans are known for their loyalty and resilience after waiting over 100 years for a World Series win prior to the 2016 victory. So it’s no surprise that the main reason for selecting the Cubs fans was their team loyalty, closely followed by the atmosphere at Wrigley Field.

Only two teams selected the Cubs as being the worst fans, they were Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals. Interestingly, the Chicago Cubs fans actually selected the White Sox as the best fans, while the White Sox called them the worst – ouch.

The Least Popular: New York Yankees

There were 14 other fan bases (47%) that selected the New York Yankees as the worst fans. The most common reason? They are apparently spoiled and entitled. With 27 World Series Championships to their name, it’s easy to see why the New York Yankees are disliked among other fans. This probably isn’t helped by their history of paying top dollar for star players, seen by some as ‘buying’ their success.

Only one team listed the Yankees as the best fan base; the San Diego Padres. Despite being over 2,700 miles apart, Padres fans say they appreciate the Yankees for their passion.

The 5 Best and Worst MLB Fan Bases

Fans of The Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, and the Chicago White Sox were voted the best amongst other MLB fan bases. Cubs for loyalty, the Cardinals and White Sox for a great ballpark atmosphere, and the Braves and Mariners for their friendliness. The Seattle Mariners are the only West Coast team to be featured in this list.

On the flip side, fans of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, LA Dodgers, and Houston Astros were voted as the worst fans in the league. The Yankees for being spoiled, the Red Sox for a bad ballpark atmosphere, and the Phillies and the Dodgers for being unwelcoming. Finally, the Houston Astros are considered the worst fan base in the entire MLB, with most referencing their denial of the 2017 cheating scandal.

Methodology

In April 2023, we surveyed 5,000 MLB fans. We asked them who their favorite team is, and then asked them to select their favorite and least favorite fans from other MLB teams. We compiled this report using the data from that survey.

Study Reveals UK Bettors Disagree with Affordability Checks

Study Reveals UK Bettors Disagree with Affordability Checks

In anticipation of the result of the White Paper from the review of the Gambling Act in the UK, a new study reveals how do gamblers feel about mandatory affordability checks. However, before the review is out, no one can confirm whether or not, strict mandatory checks would be required in the country, and if so, what would be the threshold for such checks.

Still, the sports betting community, Online Betting Guide (OLBG), released the results of a new study, revealing insights into how punters feel about affordability checks. Conducted by YouGov, the new probe engaged with 1,007 gamblers in the UK between February 23 and March 2, 2023.

Although there are no mandatory affordability requirements, in light of significant fines against companies allowing gamblers that cannot afford to wager, imposed by the gambling regulator in the UK, the Gambling Commission, some operators have decided to implement their own affordability thresholds. With that in mind, the new study uncovered that a majority of the bettors disagree with sharing sensitive financial documents for affordability checks.

60% Of Gamblers Not Happy with Providing Financial Data

Overall, nearly 60% of the participants in the new research admitted they have not been asked to provide financial documents for an affordability check but wouldn’t provide even if they are asked to do so. A breakdown of that result shows that 29.2% of the participants were not asked to provide such info but if asked, they would quit betting altogether.

Separately, 27.4% of the gamblers admitted they have not been asked for financial documents for an affordability check but if asked, they would not do so and select a different licensed gambling operator. What’s worrying is that 3.2% of the gamblers admitted they weren’t asked for such documents but if asked, they wouldn’t provide them and place a bet with an unlicensed operator.

In contrast, only 16.2% of the gamblers said that they were asked to provide financial documents and they have done so. Another 18.5% admitted that they haven’t been asked for documents related to affordability checks but if asked, would provide them.

A small percentage of the gamblers, or 3.9%, confirmed that they were asked about financial documents but refused to provide them and switched to another licensed operator. Only 0.8% of the gamblers that were asked to provide documents for financial checks decided to stop betting, while 0.9% said that they were asked but decided not to provide such information and switched to an unlicensed operator.

n10s99 Defeats Artur1965 in The Festival $100K Gtd at 888poker

Brazil’s “n10s99” is the champion of the $100,000 guaranteed Big Shot 109 tournament, part of The Festival Online at 888poker. The Brazilian came out on top of a 973-strong field and clinched $14,206 of the $100,000 prize pool following a heads-up deal with runner-up “Artur1965.”

n10s99 sat down at the nine-handed final table sixth in chips with 29 big blinds at their disposal. A combination of skilful play and good fortune saw them soar to the top of the chip counts in the tournament’s latter stages before emerging as a worthy winner.

8 Michael_mdlb Brazil 412,462 8
9 Elmaneke21 Romania 390,835 8

“Michael_mdlb” sat down at the final table second-last in chips but was the first finalist heading out of the tournament area. Michael_mdlb crashed out during the opening minutes of the final table action. First, they found pocket sevens, moved all-in and won the blinds an antes. Almost immediately after, they were dealt pocket seven again and moved all-in for 10.5 big blinds. This time around, Artur1965 woke up on the button with pocket kings and three-bet to isolate the all-in player. A queen-high board sent Michael_mdlb to the rail.

Eighth place was decided as the action hit the half-hour mark, and it was “Elmaneke21” of Romania, the shortest stack at the start of the final table, who claimed that finishing place. They came unstuck after open-shoving for 11.8 big blinds with pocket tens from under the gun, and seeing “ob1wahn” snap-call from the big blind with pocket aces. ob1wahn flopped a set and improved to quads on the river, reducing the player count by one.

888poker Casts The Wizard’s Spell and Gives Away $300,000

R2Rka Left With 0.1 Big Blinds!

The final seven became six when “R2Rka” of Ukraine found themselves with fresh air where their chips once stood. R2Rka lost all but 0.1 big blinds after shoving king-queen into pocket aces, and they never recovered.

Germany’s ob1wahn saw their tournament end abruptly in sixth place after jamming 11.6 big blinds from the button with ace-seven, and “JustAnNPC” called with pocket jacks from the small blind. JustAnNPC locked up the hand by turning a jack, and with that, ob1wahn was gone.

JustAnNPC was the next player eliminated despite helping themselves to ob1wahn’s stack. The action folded to JustAnNPC in the small blind, and they raised to 3.2 big blinds with a pair of tens in the hole. n10s99 three-bet from to 7.6 big blinds with ace-king suited, and then called when JustAnNPC ripped it in for 23.6 big blinds. An ace on the turn sent JustAnNPC to the showers and boosted the stack of n10s99 to more than 80 big blinds, almost four times the size of any other player’s stack.

Kazakhstan’s “1TATAPUH” fell in fourth in cruel circumstances. n10s99 open-shoved from the button with queen-five of spades, and 1TATAPUH called off their 10.4 big blind stack with pocket kings in the big blind. 1TATAPUH flopped top set, but the board went runner-runner to gift n10s99 a six-high straight! Ouch!

Win the Ultimate Poker Weekend For You and Two Friends on 888poker

888poker regular “Farrugia_1” was the next to fall, their third-place finish coming with $8,300 in prize money. Again, n10s99 dealt the killer blow, open-shoving for 16 big blinds effective first in from the small blind with queen-seven, and Farrugia_1 calling all-in with ace-six of clubs. Farrugia_1 flopped a six, but n10s99 spiked a seven. There was no further drama, and the $100,000 guaranteed event progressed to heads-up.

n10s99 held the chip lead going into the one-on-one battle, but Artur1965 claimed the lead for themselves during the opening confrontations, prompting both players to discuss a deal. Those discussions bore fruit, and the heads-up duo continued playing to crown the champion.

The final hand took place one hour and 40 minutes after the final table action commenced. Artur1965 min-raised with ace-four of hearts, and n10s99 called with ace-trey of clubs. An ace-deuce-trey flop was the writing on the wall for Artur1965. n10s99 check-raised a 1.4 big blind continuation bet to four big blinds and was called. The turn was a ten, and n10s99 led out for 6.1 big blinds, and Artur1965 called. On the offsuit eight river, n10s99 moved all-in, and Artur 1965 could not find a fold and called it off with an expensive second-best hand. Artur1965 was awarded $12,743 after the previously mentioned deal, while n10s99 claimed $14,026 and the title of $100,000 Big Shot 109 champion.
