KSA Chairman René Jansen stated the loss-based bonuses encouraged “excessive participation,” adding: “Players bet higher, take more risks and play more often.” Jansen said the KSA with will strictly supervise loss-based bonuses to better protect players with immediate effect. He warned:

“My theory is that some smart people said, ‘You know what? Let’s buy some ad time. It’s a big enough audience anyway. And if Kansas City makes it in there, we are golden,’” said Lupinacci.
Bettors flock to the Chiefs
Whichever companies ultimately secured any of the limited ad spots are likely to be in luck. The AFC Championship Game between the Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens (at a non-prime time slot of 3pm ET) averaged 55.47 million concurrent live viewers, a record for any AFC Championship Game.
NBC also attributed the NFL’s female audience growing by an estimated two million viewers to Swift’s relationship with Kelce during a Week 4 matchup between the Chiefs and New York Jets.

Oddsmakers have mostly held the betting lines at 49ers -2 despite the implacable support from the betting public. Several large money “sharp” bets have come in on the Niners, though there’s a strong possibility that most of the six- and seven-figure bets don’t come in until the final days and hours before kickoff. Sportsbooks are capitalizing on Swift’s popularity by offering bets centered around her and her relationship with Kelce. A new bill in Kansas aims to ban smoking at the four state-owned casinos. House Bill 2622 has bipartisan support and will be considered by lawmakers on Wednesday in the House Committee on Health and Human Services.

The bill proposes changing the existing Kansas Indoor Clean Air Act from 2012, which prohibits smoking inside most workplaces. This does not extend to casinos, making Kansas one of just 11 states that still allows smoking in gambling venues.
The Casino Employees Against Smoking Effects action group welcomed the legislation. The group’s leader, Joe Hafley, said that for too long “casino workers like myself have had to endure the hazardous conditions of second-hand smoke, all in the name of a paycheck.”
The state’s four state-owned casinos allow smoking throughout their gaming floors, except for certain smoke-free designated areas.
Lawmakers in other states have proposed similar restrictions, including in New Jersey and Rhode Island. Opponents of such a change believe that a smoking ban would hurt revenues and lead to job losses. Gamblers would supposedly not spend as much on slot machines or table games if they had to go outside or to a designated area to smoke.

Atlanta rapper 21 Savage has paid Kick streamer Adin Ross $250,000 after he supposedly cheated in an online card game on the latter’s channel.
Streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat confirmed Ross’ receipt of the payment along with details of the controversy in a live phone call with him on Friday. Ross told Cenat:
He sent the money — he sent me $250K.”
Hiphop DX cited social media users taking to X with a clip of the rapper opening a fresh pack of traditional red playing cards in front of Ross. However, when Ross was not looking, one of 21 Savage’s friends allegedly passed him a pack of marked cards. The British American rapper went on to win $120,000 from Ross while playing with the marked deck.
After the game, Ross inspected the marked deck and realized the rapper had duped him. Ross stated 21 Savage initially denied any knowledge of the markings until the Kick streamer showed him the dodgy deck. Ross told Cenat the rapper placed the blame on the friend in his camp.
“[21 Savage] spoke to me last night on camera. It was somebody around him that he said he should have cut off and sh*t.” Ross agreed with the rapper’s explanation, telling Cenat: “They’re not his cards. I know he’s not gonna do that to me.”
In the camera call, 21 Savage and Ross allegedly agreed to play an NBA 2K game so the latter could have a chance to win back his money. Ross’ key take in his discussion with Cenat about the scandal? “We’re playing dice and cards, bro. Just don’t cheat.”
